Year 3 Posters

A lot of the ICT work in Year 3 involves teaching children to change fonts, layouts, add borders and images etc... to create posters. They are doing very well this year. Here are some examples of the posters they have made realted to their history topic of the Ancient Celts.

Year 4 Stick Animations

Year 4 have begun their animation project by using a simple Stick Animator. They searched for backgrounds on Google, or drew their own in Colour Magic, before adding many, many slides to create the moving effect. More finished examples will be added next week. The Pivot Stick Animator program used to create these cartoons can be found here:

Year 5 and 6 Manor Adventure Films

Following our activity weekend to Manor Adventure I asked Year 5 and 6 to create TV adverts to promote the holidays. They edited/combined video clips, chose suitable music and added voiceovers.

Here is Nic Holmes' film on Manor Adventure

Year 5 have been trying the same topic too. Here is Giles Blacker-Morgan's excellent example.

Year 5 Apollo 11 Videos Year 5 have been creating videos about the space race. They were asked to find facts and suitable images by searching the internet. A selection of videos were ripped from Youtube which the children then drastically edited and combined with their work. Voiceovers were added to bring their films together. The example here was created by Imogen Jury. Excellent stuff Imogen!

Year 6 Clay Animations

Our Year 6 children make clay animations. They use modelling clay to create the characters. Notice how several mouth shapes have to be made to make the characters appear to speak. They then use a freeze frame techinique (6 pictures per second of film), add music and voiceovers to create their cartoons.

Year 6 M + S Advert Spoofs

A simple but effective project to teach children how to use a video camera.
